Here's how the song is played out guitar wise. In the
first verse, a clean (Dave and Slash) guitar plays the
chords along with an acoustic guitar.
In the chorus, an acoustic and one clean guitar (Dave)
strum the chords, while another clean guitar (Slash)
picks individual notes of the chords F and G.
When Scott starts singing Maybe, and I'm moving on,
that part, a distorted guitar (Dave) plays the
powerchords listed, and the acoustic guitar strums the
chords. Slash plays Riff 1 with a semi-distorted tone.
In verse two, another guitar is added playing the notes
of the chords up higher on the neck with a slide.
In the bridge, only an acoustic strums the chords, while
Slash plays little embellishments.
Dave comes in in the solo with a distorted guitar playing
the powerchord form of the Bridge chords.
